The Island Motivated by Green Industry: Green Industry in Taiwan Wins International Reputation and Expresses Its Energy on Sustainability

TCI was invited to attend the Taiwan Industry Green Media Day by the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA). We shared our experience in international trades for green products on behalf of the biotechnology industry in Taiwan.

TCI, the rising star in the industry, has become the first company named on the list of RE100 members by the “Midas Touch”: biotechnology products made by the re-utilization of by-products or recycled leftovers such as banana peels and peanut skin.

As the first company invited as a speaker at the United Nations Climate Change Conference, Remi Lee, the Spokesperson of TCI, said that we have to manufacture our products with the asked percentage of renewable power owing to our RE100 membership. There are 4 factories have been implemented with solar panels in Pingtung. In addition, since last year we started to import the leftovers and the by-products for producing the products from countries in Southeastern Asia like Vietnam. This action makes us have some contribution for global circular economy indirectly.
