[BARCELONA, SPAIN — May 14, 2026] In a significant move toward global market transparency, TCI has officially partnered with SGS, the world’s leading testing, inspection, and certification company. The two entities have signed a Letter of Intent to co-develop the industry’s first official testing standard: “Determination of Polydeoxyribonucleotide (PDRN) Content in Food.”
As the lead drafting organization, TCI will provide core technical methodologies and analytical data. SGS will leverage its globally recognized expertise in food safety and testing to oversee method validation and standardization.
Building on this technical collaboration, TCI and SGS solidified their relationship at the recent Vitafoods Europe exhibition, signing a strategic agreement to drive global standardization in functional food safety.

PDRN (Polydeoxyribonucleotide), marine-derived DNA fragments known for their powerful cellular repair and regenerative properties, has long been a blockbuster ingredient in medical aesthetics and injectables. Recent clinical data shows that oral PDRN offers significant systemic anti-aging, skin-brightening, and tissue-repair benefits, sparking rapid growth in the ingestible beauty and functional food sectors.
However, the rapid commercialization of oral PDRN has outpaced regulatory frameworks. Until now, the market lacked a dedicated, standardized testing method to verify oral PDRN content. This gap has led to widespread industry challenges, including ambiguous ingredient labels, unverified concentrations, and inconsistent product quality.
TCI’s partnership with SGS aims to fill this regulatory void—giving brands and consumers a quantifiable, traceable, and fully verifiable benchmark for quality.

“As a science-driven CDMO, our goal is to lead the ingestible PDRN market away from speculative ‘concept marketing’ and move it toward verified, data-backed trust,” stated a TCI spokesperson. “By establishing this protocol with SGS, we are bridging a crucial gap in global nutraceutical standardization.”
SGS representatives noted that this unified testing framework will provide brands with an objective, scientifically validated tool to build consumer trust and foster healthy market competition.
Moving forward, TCI will embed this testing protocol into its signature “CDMO+” one-stop service model. From raw material sourcing to final delivery, global brand partners can now ensure that every batch of oral PDRN is fully optimized, compliant, and backed by a world-class verification standard.
